WOV National Conference Call: “Kids in America Go Hungry Too” on February 21st!
You are invited to join our upcoming Women of Vision National Conference Call “Kids in America Go Hungry Too” with World Vision’s Romanita Hairston.
Tuesday, February 21
4:00-5:00pm PST / 7:00-8:00pm EST
Romanita understands all too well from her own childhood the impact of living in an under-resourced community. “I had a really strong mother,” Romanita recalls, “and a really strong village so that early on I was able to rely on mentors in my life.” She speaks passionately and boldly about World Vision’s domestic programs which serve children in some of the poorest parts of our country. According to the USDA approximately 22% of American children do not get enough to eat. Research indicates that hungry kids do poorly at school since they cannot concentrate. At this time when many of us see famine in Africa and floods in Asia, Romanita is championing the cause for the American child. If you’ve never heard her speak, you have two opportunities to hear this dynamic and brilliant leader.
Join host Angela Mason as she interviews Romanita on February 21. Then, come to the Women of Vision National Conference and meet Romanita in person as she shares more stories from her work!
