Women of Vision raise their hands for Maternal and Child Health

Worldwide, more than 350,000 women die each year— one every 90 seconds—from complications of pregnancy or childbirth. Ninety-nine percent of these deaths are in developing countries. Most could be prevented with access to proper nutrition and medical care, but more than half of women in these countries don’t receive essential prenatal care, putting both their health and the health of their unborn children at serious risk.

You are invited to join World Vision staff and friends all around the world designed to leverage World Vision’s size and scale around Maternal and Child Health. We’re saying: “Count me in – I want children to Survive 5!”

The cool thing about this opportunity is that it’s easy! Just hold your hands up and take a picture, then post that picture on our central photo platform: You can also share your photo on Facebook and Twitter, or even make it your WOV chapter’s Facebook profile picture!
