Women of Vision announces next trip to Immokalee

Women of Vision partners are invited to join World Vision for an educational trip to learn about World Vision’s ministry in Immokalee, Florida February 7-10, 2013. The purpose of the trip is to learn about life for migrant workers and their families. We will have access to women who work the fields along with farmers, children of migrant workers, and community organizations who work in this unique community.

Read a report from the first Women of Vision trip to Immokalee.

The cost for the 3-day trip is $350 which covers housing, meals and ground transportation.  Participants are asked to make their own flight arrangements to Ft. Meyers, Florida.

Will there be any followup opportunity for service? We do not have a Women of vision chapter in my community, but I happened upon this on the World Vision website. Interested in learning, but would like to see how to turn the trip into a continuing commitment – I also have not joined WOV yet. Just collecting info.
