No Wasted Kindness
We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give. –Winston Churchill
This week our nation celebrates National Volunteer week, an opportunity to thank those who do extraordinary things through service. As a volunteer ministry of World Vision, Women of Vision is completely dependent on the time, the talents, the teamwork, and the treasure of our volunteers. To you, we say, gratefully, thank you.
It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself. –Ralph Waldo Emerson
Women of Vision has over 350 women in chapter leadership positions. Each of these women serve, guide and encourage their chapters. They pray for their supported projects and sponsored children, teach about global issues and God’s heart for poverty, advocate for justice and equality, and motivate others to do the same.
We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. –Mother Teresa
A heartfelt thank you, Women of Vision partners, for using your time, talent and amazing creativity to make a difference for women and children worldwide. You pray, you mentor, you learn, you teach, you serve and love those in need and you provide much needed financial support. You have done more than merely doing acts of kindness; you have made giving a part of your life.
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. –Aesop
